HEALTHY HAIR EXCLUSIVE: DR. MIRACLE’S RELAUNCH EVENT
Hey Blossoms,
The quest for gorgeous hair is never ending. Finding hair care products that allow for easy hair maintenance, styling and upkeep is, at times, like searching for a needle in a haystack. Consumers are no stranger to hair care companies fizzling off into oblivion once their huge claims of gaining managable, strong, healthy long tresses using their products are unfounded. Some companies just get “it”. “IT” being, understanding what the consumers need and want to make their healthy hair journey attainable at any age, stage, color, length and texture. Those companies do the hard work and research for us so we don’t have to and we THANK THEE!
Dr.Miracle’s is a ethnic hair care and skin care line that has been around for 7 years. It was originally founded by Brian Marks, Ollie Johnson and Richard Lombardi and started in a warehouse. Co-Founder, Ollie Johnson’s family were the original sales people. Now Dr.Miracle’s, can be found from NYC to South Africa. Talk about humble beginnings!
I spoke with, Head of Sales, Steve Brown, and asked him to dish the latest on Dr.Miracle’s relaunch and its objective. With a passion you could feel, Mr.Brown went on to talk about what we can expect to see presently and in the future with the brand:
- On OCt 31 2011 new commercials were launched on hit networks: VH1 and BET as well as popular shows: “Meet The Browns“, “Judge Mathis“, “LaLa’s Full Court Life” and “Basketball Wives“.
- The new message is to branch out beyond just hair & scalp treatments and incorporates styling products. For those consumers who love their treatment products it will still be available.
- The products have been reformulated and include natural vitamins and minerals.
- The packaging has been redesigned so it’s clear what the products do.
- The scent is now more citrusy & more pleasant for consumers.
- Although with a new formulation you can expect the latest products to still have the same Dr Miracle’s efficacy.
- A new website was launched where consumers can get online consultations for hair care and maintenance needs and have products recommended to them for their individual hair needs.
- A mobile app is now available on Android and will soon be available on IPhone.
Just when we thought that was enough, we can also expect to see Dr.Miracle’s natural hair care line to be launched in Feb 2012
THE NEWEST PRODUCTS ARE
PARABAN FREE (Parabens are used as preservatives but are possible carcinogens (cancer causing) and can cause acne)
PHTHALATES FREE (Phthalates are known as plasticizers and are used to increase transparency and longevity but is linked to birth defects if used in high dosage)
SODIUM FREE (Sodium is said to be irritating to scalp and has been said to cause hair loss)
SULFATE FREE ( Sulfate has been found to strip your hair of moisture and other essential oils)
Basically, Dr. Miracle’s is making sure you are getting the best in healthy hair care without harming you, your hair or your wallet! With prices ranging from $4.99 to $8.99 you can’t beat that!
I’ll admit before this relaunch, I always looked at Dr.Miracle’s products as medicinal for your hair and scalp and who could forget the commercials… “Thanks Dr. Miracle’s!” LOL! Now I am excited to try a few of their products. I will definitely keep an eye out for the natural hair care line to launch in Feb 2012.
With chatter and laughter in abundance, comfortable seating and low light ambiance in the Sky Room in NYC, as waiters and waitresses politely came around serving drinks and hors d’oeurve, I had the chance to catch up with fellow bloggers…

Fashion inspirations were everywhere! I’ll share some of the fantastic styles I saw with all of you:
And for those curious to what garb I donned here’s a quick snap shot…
Undeniably, the fashion style was at OVERLOAD at this event and to add to the festivities there was an awesome performance by Cherlise, an R&B singer, of her new single with little Wayne! ….Follow her on Twitter @cherlise101.
Trina was also in the house showing support!
Ollie & Cathleen Johnson, co- founders of Dr.Miracle’s. They were very sweet and had such great smiles!
So Blossoms, I know I will but will you be on the look out for the new Dr. Miracle’s products?
Until Next Time,
Later Blossoms!
